Get Ready for Easter Weekend With VG Meats

We've Got Something for Everyone

March 22, 2018

Good food is central to a holiday gathering, and Easter is no exception. Some families attend church services in their Sunday best and others look forward to a visit from the Easter Bunny. However you celebrate, one thing is certain: you will come together to share news, memories and laughter over a meal.

Our current specials are all about Easter dinner, and we’ve got something for everyone. Read on for some inspiration and then call or visit VG Meats to get everything you need for a delicious Easter feast!

Ham, turkeys, roast beef and more

Are you a ham and scalloped potatoes kind of family, or is a roast turkey part of your tradition? We’ve got both options (and more). Try our country-style smoked ham, fresh and frozen turkeys or our incredible 21 day aged prime rib. We’ve also got pork tenderloin and eye of the round roasts on sale until April 3rd. Looking for something different? Nobody ever said Easter Dinner can’t be a good steak (and if they did say it, we think they’re wrong). Our aged New York strip loin is on sale along with our mini steaks (perfect for the kids’ table)! Be sure to grab some Dennis’ Horseradish while you’re in store – your guests will thank you.

Serving brunch? We can help with that, too.

If your family gathers for brunch instead of dinner, we’ve got you covered. It all starts with bacon – there’s VG Meats pork breakfast bacon, our delicious beef bacon or our award-winning coffee-rubbed cowboy bacon. These are great additions to a quiche or breakfast casserole, or the perfect complement to eggs benedict. (Don’t forget to grab some peameal bacon, too – a customer favourite!)

We just said bacon five times in a row…are you hungry yet?!

Happy Easter from VG Meats

We’re just over a week away from Easter Sunday, so place your orders now and head into our Simcoe or Stoney Creek locations to stock your freezer ahead of the holiday. We’ll be offering some more Easter dinner inspiration on the blog next week….stay tuned!
