Family-friendly Easter events in Hamilton, Halton and Norfolk County
Happy Easter!

Easter weekend is here and it’s all about food, family and fun times with friends and neighbours. The weather report may be calling for grey skies over the next few days, but there are plenty of ways to add sunshine to your weekend. If you’re looking for something to do with the kids, here are some great community events – and if you have others to add to this list, tell us about them in the comments on Facebook!
Greater Hamilton and Stoney Creek
There’s plenty going on in the greater Hamilton area over Easter weekend, but here are a few highlights worth checking out. On Good Friday, there’s an Easter egg hunt taking place at Dundas Driving Park. It starts at 8am sharp, so get there early! A $5 donation is requested with all proceeds going to the Dundas Lions Club and associated causes.
Over in Waterdown, there are several Easter egg hunts happening on Good Friday at Waterdown Memorial Park – details are available here. On Saturday, the Optimist Trail Park Easter Egg Hunt will take place in Stoney Creek starting at 10:30 am. Donations are clothing and money will be accepted for Diabetes Canada, but the event itself is free and does not require registration – learn more here.
The Winona Easter Egg Hunt also takes place on Saturday. Online register has closed, but you can sign up in person the morning of the event. Learn more here!
Christ Church in Flamborough also has a great event on Saturday, with an 11am egg hunt and food trucks available on site. Have fun and grab a bite to eat after! More details are available here. This is a free event.
Norfolk Country
Ryerse Garden Gallery is hosting an event starting at 9:00 am on Good Friday. All of the details are here on their Facebook page. Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted at this free event in support of a local food bank.
The annual Easter Eggstravaganza is happening this Saturday, April 20th in Waterford. The festivities include a hunt for over 5000 Easter eggs and a magic show featuring illusionist Lucas Wilson. A small entrance fee is charged – details here. Enjoy!
Halton Region
There are plenty of events to choose from in Halton, from Canada’s Largest Egg Hunt in Milton to the Easter Egg Extravaganza at Mountsberg Conservation Centre to a variety of Easter festivities at Springridge Farm. There’s also (another!) Easter EGGstravaganza in Oakville at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park. Many indoor playgrounds are hosting events as well, so it’s worth checking on your favourite spots if the weather is too rainy for your little one.
Happy Easter, everyone!
