A Recipe for the Perfect Easter Weekend with VG Meats
We’re only days away from Easter weekend now – a special occasion for the VG family as well as many of our customers. There are a lot of ways to celebrate the holiday, but many of us find common themes in our traditions: family, fun and good food. Here are a few Easter ideas and reminders – read on and enjoy the perfect weekend with those you love!
VG Meats is a family business so naturally, we spend Easter weekend together – it’s really special to have multiple generations under the same roof. In our case, the family now includes Van Groningen grandparents, parents, the four VG brothers and our own wives and children. It’s a little bit of chaos when we’re all together at once, but we love it!
If you’re looking for ways to have fun with your family this weekend, we have some suggestions. You can go for a family hike here in Norfolk County or around Hamilton (here are some local trails to check out). You could dye Easter eggs or maybe bake up some delicious Mini Egg Cookies as a family. An easter egg hunt at home is always fun, but there are plenty of community events as well – check out these great options in Hamilton, Waterdown, Dundas and Norfolk County. There’s also an Easter festival at Springridge Farm in Milton. Be sure to visit the bunnies while you’re there!
Very Good Food
If you haven’t done your Easter grocery shopping yet, GO NOW! Like most businesses, VG Meats will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. We will be open for regular hours in both Simcoe and Stoney Creek on Saturday but again…don’t wait!
Check out our current specials and get your country ham, 21 day aged prime rib roast, pork tenderloin or fresh turkey. They’re all delicious and you’ll love our holiday pricing!
